Further qualifications are being researched to enable trainees to gain further income streams
We are researching further qualifications that we may run courses for to enable trainees to become even more multi-skilled and to gain further potential income streams including:
- Level 4 Commercial Energy Assessor - for Energy Assessments on larger commercial buildings.
- Display Energy Certificate Assessor - for Energy Assessments on public buildings over 1,000sq.m.
- New Build Assessors - for ‘off-plan’ Energy Assessments on new domestic properties.
- Fire Risk Assessments - a recent law change means qualified professionals, including Home Inspectors with a new ABBE qualification, instead of only the fire service, can now carry out fire risk management of business premises.
- Domestic Property Valuations - potentially a great opportunity already supported by Government for Home Inspectors with the ABBE CertValSL qualification to carry out valuations for Mortgage Lenders.
- Property Insulation Surveys - due to a shortage of surveyors the National Insulation Association is liaising with Association of Home Information Pack Providers for Home Inspectors to do insulation surveys. 30 million homes require loft insulation – 33% of Energy Assessments recommend it; 7 million homes require cavity wall insulation – 22% of Assessments recommend it.
